Welcome to ARG Podiatry
“The human foot is a masterpiece of engineering and a work of art.“
Leonardo da Vinci
Nobody likes to have painful or feet they don’t like the look of, but for ARG Podiatry it is about so much more than that… It’s about getting you back to doing the things you love, wearing the shoes you like and keeping you being the best you, you can be.
Some fabulous feet top tips
When exercising: Remember it is important to keep wearing suitable shoes, even if it is just for a short while. Having shoes that are supportive for the type of exercise you are doing helps keep you feet feeling fabulous!
If staying in for the day: As comfy as slippers are, unfortunatley they are not a very supportive shoe. To ensure your utmost comfort at home, it is worth wearing your outdoor shoes around the house as these will give you the support you need. This is even more important if you wear othotics.
If slippers aren’t for you and you are going barefoot, don’t forget to do slow, controlled raises onto the balls of your feet while standing. You can do this whilst cleaning your teeth, washing up or any other time you are standing for any reasonable length of time. This helps keeps the muscles of the foot strong and your calf muscles toned.
